Thank you for visiting our 'Ben Nevis - John Hartson Foundation fundraising page.
Here at Alba we have all been touched by Cancer, whether it be one of our friends or family and like everyone else we have followed Big Johns recovery via the news and press and were overwhelmed by his courage and determination to overcome his cancer. I met John recently and although working to a busy schedule, he still had time to chat – A true gent.
Jack Owen from the John Hartson Foundation contacted us to see if we would be willing to climb Ben Nevis with John, although not fit enough myself, 2 of the guys readily stepped in and are looking forward to the challenge and also raising money and awareness for The John Hartson Foundation.
As a wee twist Paul and Thomas who support opposite sides of the Old Firm, will be willing to 'swap tops' for the climb - If we reach our target!

We are raising money for The John Hartson Foundation:
The John Hartson Foundation has been set up through the determination of John himself as he continues to battle through his horrendous ordeal, this is the character of the man, his main focus will be to openly offer his experience in going through a traumatic time since he was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer after ignoring a lump for 4 years, John admits himself that if he was aware of how easy it was to get checked and that Testicular Cancer is over 90% curable if caught early enough he probably would not have had to go through the brain operations, lung operations and over 60 sessions of chemotherapy.
The aims and objectives of the Foundation will be to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer and how easy and most of all how important it is to check yourself on a regular basis, the foundation will also raise funds to provide cancer organisations more support throughout the UK.
The John Hartson Foundation is based at our new offices in Swansea.
