Thank you for visiting this online fundraising page. I hugely appreciate your support for Cystic Fibrosis research!
Many of you know that I have Cystic Fibrosis - a hereditary, degenerative disease affecting especially the lungs. I thank God that I am still relatively well and that medical research is making great strides. However, the next step of crucial research will only go ahead if funding is in place by the end of October (see box on the right).
Making a donation through CharityGiving is simple. charitygiving.co.uk is operated by The Dove Trust, a charity with almost 30 years' experience of helping individuals, charities and good causes globally, so your giving is safe and secure.
CharityGiving will reclaim gift aid tax on your donation (if you are a UK taxpayer), meaning any donation is worth around 25% more. They also charge less than most other fundraising websites, so more money goes to this great cause!
Christoph is raising money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust:
Gene therapy research for Cystic Fibrosis is at a crucial stage. The next stage of the patient trials can only go ahead if the CF Trust can raise £6 million by the end of October. Of that amount, CF Trust is aiming to raise £1 million through existing individual supporters. To date £330,000 have been donated towards this target. Time is of the essence as these trials will only go ahead if funding is in place.
"We can see the science is there and that it works. However, we cannot now afford to go forward because of lack of finance and this is heart-breaking." Mum of a daughter with CF.
I realise that my target of £5,000 is ambitious. However, every single pound you can give will make a real difference. Thank you!
