Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and supporting my cause.
Hellespont in the Dardanelles is the strait which connects the Aegean Sea to the Sea of Marmara and divides Europe from Asia. On 2 May 1810, the English poet Lord Byron swam the Hellespont , in emulation of the mythical lover Leander. I hope to follow in their footsteps on the 200th anniversary of Lord Byron's swim.

The Citizens Advice service aims to ensure that free, independent and confidential advice is available to every member of the public, should they experience difficult times.
It helps people to resolve their problems and feel in control of their lives again. It is equipped to deal with all manner of issues, from debt, benefits, housing, employment and consumer disputes, to relationships, family matters, health, education, discrimination and immigration. Last year alone it helped 1.9 million people to overcome 6 million problems.
There are 426 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales. Between them they give advice from over 3,200 locations, including the high street, community centres, doctors’ surgeries and prisons. Because every Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity,they rely on the support of people like you, either as fundraisers, donors or volunteers. In fact 20,000 of the 26,000 people who work for Citizens Advice are trained volunteers.
Having served over 5 years as a volunteer at the Leeds Citizens Advice Bureau, I have selected this Bureau for my support.
