Sunday 1st April 2012 %E2%80%93 I will be running the Snowdonia Half Marathon here in Betws-y-Coed, North Wales.
NEWSAR is a volunteer Search and Rescue Mountain Rescue Organisation operating in North East Wales and mainly covers the counties of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Wrexham, Powys and parts of Wirral and Cheshire. NEWSAR receive no government funding and exist entirely on support from charitable donations to make its work possible. I have been fundraising for Mountain Rescue for many years now and have come to know the men and women who volunteer to go out in all weathers at any time of the day and night 24/7 to rescue those in need of assistance. It is the non mountain rescue side of their job that often goes unrecognised from the missing child in the local woods to the rescue from floods and swift water. NEWSAR is more than just Mountain Rescue; it is a valuable community resource, a remarkable organisation made up by remarkable people and well worth your support. So please help me help them to help others.

I am raising money for North East Wales Search And Rescue Team: North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) is a volunteer Search and Rescue (Mountain Rescue) organisation operating in North East Wales and mainly covers the counties of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Wrexham, Powys and parts of Wirral and Cheshire.
The Team consists of a group of around 40 volunteers who help the Police by looking for vulnerable people who are missing from home or those in need of rescue. The team is available 24 hours / 365 days a year. Charity Registration No: 512956
