Joe's Personal Message:
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am running the Reading Half Marathon with my friends Melvyn Anil and Mike on 21st March in order to raise charitable donations for Kisiizi Partners which is a charity set up to benefit Kisiizi Hospital (see below).
We are currently in the middle of a rigorous training schedule which will hopefully see us all complete the course
I would be most grateful if you could make a donation - all money raised goes directly to Kisiizi Hosptial. For further information about the hospital and the charity please see http://www.sponsoranurse.org.uk
Charity Giving will reclaim gift aid tax on your donation (if you are a UK taxpayer), meaning any donation is worth around 25% more.
So please sponsor me now and thanks again!

Joe is raising money for Kisiizi Partners:
Kisiizi Partners provides support for Kisiizi Hospital, which is situated in a remote rural area of SW Uganda, far from tarmac roads. The population consists mainly of poor subsistence farmers, who struggle to survive. Homes are mud huts without running water or electricity and many people face a long uphill struggle daily to carry a can of water to their home. There is very little money in the local economy, farmers grow what they need to eat. When they become ill, they really struggle to pay for treatment. Kisiizi Hospital aims to provide affordable healthcare to this impoverished population. To do so it relies heavily on donated funds because patients cannot afford the real cost of their treatment. The hospital needs help every month to pay the nurses, doctors and other essential hospital staff and buy medicines and other necessary items. Kisiizi Partners has a track record of providing support over the past ten years. We provide help with running costs and build staff accommodation, in addition to sponsorship for student nurses and other healthcare trainees.
