Hello friendly people of the web!
I am jumping out of a plane (thankfully attached to someone else so that I am unlikely to perish) for York University Student's Union - Raising and Giving (YUSU RAG), and the charities this year are:
-Martin House Hospice - they care for Children and Young People in the Yorkshire region with progressive life limiting illnesses, and provide support to their families.
-Refugee Action York - raising awareness of the contribution refugees and asylum seekers make to our society and to challenge myths and misconceptions about refugees and asylum seekers.
-Teenage Cancer Trust - dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with cancer
-Alzheimer's Society - improving the lives of people living with dementia and the people caring for them
-War Child - providing life-changing support to the most vulnerable children whose families, communities and schools have been torn apart by war. Providing things such as medical care,rebuilding schools, creating safe havens and helping the children to have their voices heard.
-YUSU Volunteering - helping to fund projects such as Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) where disabled children can take part in sports, and Kids Camp where children from disadvantaged backgrounds can have some cool opportunites to take part in things.
They are all amazing causes, and I need to raise at least £300 so get pledging!!
Even a POUND would make a big difference - especially if you are able to gift aid it!

It's easy to get involved. You don't have to be a 'member' to take part in anything that RAG does, and as well as raising money for the charities, it gives you the opportunity to try something new and have a great time!

International: War Child
