Alabaré's Wiltshire Drop In Centres - Devizes, Salisbury and Trowbridge

Barford Countryside Unit

The Junction in Andover

Bristol The Well

Damascus House, Salisbury
Alabaré will be redeveloping the Barnards Cross Site in Barnard Street, Salisbury where we run Damascus House. The redeveloped hostel will not only look better as its roofline will match surrounding houses, but it will provide secure, high quality temporary accommodation, support and training facilities. The development includes a further 8 self-contained 'move on flats' built to a high specification and managed carefully and professionally. It will make a real difference to local people faced with the difficulty and stress of having no home of their own.

A major challenge is before us to secure the funding needed and to plan and manage the project. We will be launching a major fundraising campaign very soon but if you are able to help please do not wait! Do let us know your ideas, or you can donate now by going to the following link

Alabaré's Wiltshire Drop In Centres - Devizes, Salisbury and Trowbridge - offer a warm and welcoming safe daytime shelter for vulnerable adults who are homeless, facing homelessness or living in unsuitable accommodation. They provide hot meals and drinks, showers, laundry facilities and a clothing exchange service. They also offer support and advice on housing and employment.

The majority of the £150,000 needed for these Centres comes from voluntary donations.

The unit consists of fully equipped workshops offering training in woodwork, IT, arts and crafts, pottery, horticulture, numeracy and literacy skills, budgeting and debt management and job search.
Barford is a centre for the National Proficiency Test Council, meaning that service users will be able to work towards accredited qualifications - however, this is completely optional.
