''Join us in making a difference until they all have homes''

More children have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa than anywhere else. By the end of 2003, the epidemic had left behind 15 million AIDS orphans defined as those having lost one or both parents to AIDS before reaching the age of 18. These orphans are vulnerable to poverty, exploitation and themselves becoming infected with HIV. They are often forced to leave the education system and find work and sometimes to care for younger siblings or head a family.
Do you know that you can make a difference to thousands of these orphans? Your commitment and support allows SOAR AHEAD to create an environment for orphans and street children to live, learn, play and flourish. We need your support to sponsor a child today. By doing this, you will be helping an orphan or maybe several orphans or even an entire orphanage.
Clothe Them Project: Working with local partners, we visit orphanages in some of the poorest villages and slums to clothe the naked and feed the hungry, we organize 'Street Party' for homeless and street kids, serve 'Morning Tea' which attracts drug addicts and alcoholics for a simple reason;to share the love of God and bring His blessings to many of the children struggling and dying of hunger, disease and hopelessness. We need you support to help us feed, clothe and build a home for these children. We have a vision to distribute 10,000 gift boxes by the year 2010. Each box contains clothes, toys, school bag and writing items, Christian story books, bible and contact details of a local church.
Your financial support continues to be a great blessing to the less privileged in Africa. It's a seed sown into good ground and I am confident that you will receive a bountiful harvest. Because of your generosity, we are able to start the
FOOD FOR GRANDMA PROGRAMME. The Food for Grandma Programme simply provides food to elderly citizens particularly those living in rural villages often in extreme poverty and poor living conditions. Once an elderly person (grandma or grandpa) is identified and assessed, a visiting plan is established and a ''Food Basket'' is delivered every month. A basket contains 6kg bag of rice, beans, fresh fruits, meat/fish and cartoons of bottled water. In situations of extreme poverty, we will include clothes and other much needed items. As part of the visit, the gospel of Jesus Christ will be shared with the recipients. As a result of your support, we are providing spiritual and physical food to those Christ died for.
Why grandpa and grandma? Increasingly grandparents are shouldering greater responsibilities due to changing social and economic pressures. The AIDs pandemic means many elderly people are now looking after their grandchildren, whose parents have died. As a result, they often resort to begging for alms or take on very dangerous low paid manual jobs to feed themselves and their grandchildren. We believe grandma and grandpa deserve love, care and dignity and you are helping to make this happen.
Will you help to feed a Grandma or Grandpa today?
For Just £18 a month (or total of £216 per year) a grandma or grandpa, that meets the eligibility criteria, will receive a food basket every month for 12 months.
Your Support: Without your help we really couldn't continue the work we do. Donating through this site http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/ is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor a child: Soar Ahead will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Alternatively, if you will like to give a one-off gift, please contact us by telephone on the number given below.
This outreach mission work is based on the sayings of Jesus in the book of Matthew chapter 25 verses 35 and 36. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought me together with yourselves, I was naked and you clothed me.
We thank you for your support and hope you will join us in making a difference.
