In February 2010 Rita Offen and Ella Farrow are running the Sussex Beacon Half Marathon in Brighton in order to raise funds for The New Montessori Pre-School, Tarring Road, Worthing.
A Half Marathon is a distance of 13.1 miles, and we are training hard in all weathers so we are prepared for the event. This is the first of such events Rita has taken part in.
At The New Montessori Pre-School we strive to make a Montessori education available to all children. It is quite difficult keeping fees to the minimum yet at the same time providing the high staff/child ratio that a good Montessori education requires. Such is the dedication of the staff, they love the children, the Montessori method, and are passionate about maintaining high standards.
The wonderful specialist Montessori equipment we use is traditionally purchased from our fundraising resources.

We are raising money for The New Montessori Pre-school:
We offer a high quality Montessori pre-school education in the centre of Worthing, with child-centred education and care led by a team of three qualified Montessorians, and with an ongoing programme of Montessori training for our other staffl.
We have places for up to 52 children from ages 2 to 5 years in our morning and afternoon sessions, we have two spacious classrooms which are both equipped with a wide range of Montessori learning materials, and we have an outdoor recreation area too.
What's more we are, unusually, a non-profit organisation (registered charity number 1086853), which is run by a management committee composed of parents and other non-remunerated volunteers, so parents have a very direct say in the progress and future of the school.
