Youth 2000's Personal Message:
Thank you for visiting this online fundraising page to help us reach our target of £80,000 needed to run our annual Prayer Festival Live@Walsingham'11 (25-29 August).
Each year we welcome up to 1,500 young people to Walsingham and each year God touches and changes their lives: through the talks, worship, friendships and most powerfully through the grace of the sacraments - especially the Eucharist and Reconcilliation. Some young people have been away from the church for a long time and Youth 2000 provides a gateway for them to return home.
In order to encouarage as many young people as possible to attend the prayer festival, we do not have a set fee, but operate a 'donation only' policy so that young people give what they can afford.
We are grateful for any amount that you can give and all donations go directly to enabling young people to encounter Christ at Live@Walsingham'11. CharityGiving will reclaim gift aid tax on your donation (if you are a UK taxpayer), meaning any donation is worth around 25% more.
Thanks again for your support! Please keep all of the preparations for Live@Walsingham in your prayers too. The work of Youth 2000 relies heavily on the generosity of friends and supporters.
Youth 2000 is raising money for Youth 2000:
Youth 2000 seeks to draw young people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, lived at the heart of the Catholic church. It does this primarily through prayer festivals, where young people are introduced to the essentials of the catholic faith: Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, confession, scripture, devotion to Our Lady. These festivals are opportunities for young people to experience the love of God, to receive the grace of conversion and to begin living anew the Christian life.
